Captain: Sakis Liakos
CAPTAIN
Liakos Sakis - Greek
Languages: Greek, English
Captain Sakis grew up in Thessaloniki, Greece. He is graduated with the degree of Captain
in 1994. His early years were spent studying and practicing in the Naval Academy as an
Officer and Captain Sakis graduated from the Merchant Marine Academy of Macedonia.
He has twenty years of experience in the marine industry ranging from going bulk carriers
during courses to cruising ships in Mediterranean, carrying thousands of passengers daily
and another ten years in the chartering yachting business.
As DPA he is paying specialized attention to all details in order to have the yacht finished
to the highest standards possible. He also has extensive experience in yacht maintenance,
refit, and repairs, and have formed excellent relationships with many shipyards and
contractors.
He offers an enthusiasm that blends well with the positive attitude of the entire crew.
As Captain, he takes great pride in creating tailor-made yacht cruise experiences for each
charter.
He works closely with his guests to ensure that all of their needs and wants are met.
His love for travelling provides Captain Sakis with the passion to research and organize all
kinds of activities for the enhancement of the onboard experience.
CHIEF ENGINEER
Volonakis Dimitrios - Greek

Volonakis Dimitrios hails from Athens, Greece and currently holds a 2nd Engineering
license from the KESEN. At the age of 20, Dimitrios started his career as an
Engineering Cadet. This exposure resulted in a love for the ocean and a desire to
become a full time Marine Engineer. Dimitrios quickly moved from being land based
to working full time on yachts. He has worked as an Engineer in Shipping Companies,
in Tankers , in Ferry Boats, in Yachts and Catamarans. Dimitrios has never looked back
and has concentrated on his career as an Engineer with over 25 years in the business
and having completed multiple cruises and trips over the Aegean sea. Dimitrios' other
interests include swimming, dancing and playing football or basketball.
CHEF
Fasoulis Vasilis – Greek
Languages: Greek, English
Vasilis comes originally from Nafplio, Peloponisos, Greece. His passion for food came
around the age of nine-teen when he was a Chef in a restaurant named Le Monde.
Quickly inspired by the quality and taste of fresh produce he continued his career to a
restaurant in Newcastle, to develop his skills. From there Vasilis left England and
moved to Nafplio, where he opened his own restaurant, in which he is planning and
designing menus and sourcing produce. Vasilis always aims to please his customers.
He goes above and beyond expectations, in order to the Estia Poseidon’s guests have
the most enjoyable culinary experience whilst onboard.
Chef Vasilis is determined that he wants to continue his career in the yachting
industry. He also owns the Yacht Master diploma and the Basic Safety training
certification. He is an advanced open water Driver and a very capable Deckhand.
Vasilis’ objective is to satisfy culinary desires, embrace local produce, and provide
guests with the highest level of cuisine.
STEWARDESS
Puriene Alexandra – Belarusian, Romanian
Languages: English, Russian, Polish, French, Greek, Romanian,
Italian.
Alexandra hales from Both Belarus and Romania. She has attended the Law school in
Grodno State University in Belarus. She holds 1st Aid and STCW95 certificates and she
is a certified massage professional. Before entering the yachting industry, Alexandra
worked in Hospitality as a Hostess and Bar Manager in Cocktail bar and restaurant in
UK and as a Waitress in a catering group. During the years, she has also worked as a
Nanny and massage practitioner. Since 2017, Alexandra has enjoyed putting that
knowledge to great use in the yachting industry with experience on prestigious sail
yachts such as MY Ocean Dream and MY Eden, as well as MY Grande Amore.
Alexandra has traveled extensively during her time onboard yachts and takes every
opportunity to explore new places and cultures. She has a love for the ocean and
keeps active with water sports, massage, reading books and travelling.
DECKHAND
Thodos Theodoros - Greek
Languages: Greek, English, Italian
Thodoris attended the Merchant Marine Academy of Aspropyrgos and has been
working at sea since 2011. His previous experience as Deckhand includes working on
motor tankers and tugboats. He recently got his Captain diploma, and he is
experienced and can eagerly carry out any given assignment on board. As a member
of our team, he is highly motivated and performs within safety and quality guidelines
at all times.
Thodoris is a very hard working and valuable member of the crew that is much
appreciated by our guests who find he is a very amiable, easy going but attentive
member of the crew.
